Our Tectorians of the Week are: the duo of Pretio Interactive & Tutela Technologies!

Pretio and Tutela are hosting the 2nd Annual Spring into Startups event to catch up on what’s sprouting up in Victoria’s #startuplife. This year’s event is a bit different as they’re celebrating 3 specific startups: Hyas, LlamaZOO Interactive and Picnic/Dak.

There just might still be time to RSVP here!

The party gets going at 1124 Vancouver Street from 5pm to 8pm.

Thank you for putting on amazing events like this Pretio and Tutela!

Flytographer
RingPartner
SilkStart

Our Tectorians of the Week are: Flytographer, RingPartner & SilkStart!

These three local Victoria companies are in Kelowna right now connecting with Silicon Valley investors at Metabridge 2016. Out of 109 applicants, they have made it to the top 15!

Pitches started yesterday and went extremely well for all three. The event continues through today. VCs and serial entrepreneurs found at Metabridge come from leading companies such as Google, AngelList and Omers Ventures.

Investment opportunities, strategic partnerships and mentorship from leading tech entrepreneurs are a few key items these startups hope to receive in order to take their businesses to the next level.

We wish them the best of luck! GO TECTORIA!

Our Tectorian of the Week is: The Frosty Pop Corps!

The Frosty Pop Corps just became a VIATEC Member AND they just launched their new game Walls & Balls! That’s a pretty good week if you ask us.

Their game is a golf-pinball-pong hybrid with a Swiss design aesthetic, available only on the Apple App Store. This is The Frosty Pop Corps’s 10th feature on the App Store, and the first from their new home in Victoria, BC.

“It’s exciting to be living in such a vibrant gaming community here in Victoria, ” said founder Faisal Sethi. “Although I am new on the scene, at some point I hope to represent the Victoria gaming community on a global level with same creative reputation as Kano Apps, Tiny Mob, Codename, and many, many others.”

Walls & Balls can be downloaded at: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/walls-balls/id1083708143
